Sneak Peek

Once again, it's been a while. I am barely keeping up but still have a goal of getting back to updating regularly. So here I go again. With a massive 'catching up' post...

I feel like I should have tried to wait but they are so cute in their Halloween costumes that I couldn't help myself. Spiderman and Captain America.

Miles playing tennis and Gigi's house. Peter took the boys for a night without me and they had a great time.
Jake taking Jamie for a walk with Gigi.
Collapsed from so much fun with their "obstacle horse" game.
"Obstacle horse" in action.
Having fun at locomotion.
Miles and one of their best buddies, Barret, playing air hockey at locomotion. A new favorite game for him.
Rob, sharing life secrets with Jake and Miles. They love him.
Miles at soccer practice.
Jake, in action, at soccer practice.
The boys at sportball. They are loving it this year. It's a different sport each week and they have such a good time with their friends.
Peter & I were in New Orleans for a weekend while the boys stayed with my parents. We brought back beads and saxophones.
Miles at the Farmer's Market Petting Zoo holding a giant lizard. His name was Abraham Lincoln and I couldn't believe Miles held him. He was petting him as if he was a sweet little puppy.
Jake and a turtle.
Pizza night.
Having so much fun playing with Harlan.

Lately

Here's what we've been up to since we got back in town...underwear and a movie. We are working on underwear and the boys are doing a great job. It is one of the more intense experiences with both of them doing it at one time. While it is certainly more difficult to be out and about they are really doing well. We are having a few minor issues but I think that is to be expected. Jake was just ready for it and has had almost zero accidents. Miles was actually ready a few weeks ago and I kept him in diapers because of our upcoming vacation, etc. Now he is having a more challenging time but is also doing great. Number two is definitely a challenge but number one is under control. No. More. Diapers. We went to see Winnie the Pooh and it was great. They loved it. We tried to see Cars 2 a few weeks ago and it was just a little bit too much. This one was perfect! We had a great time.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great 4th of July. Barbecue, bouncehouse and family...it doesn't get much better than that.

Fun on the beach!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Hilton Head...the boys were in heaven! It was such a nice trip and really so much fun to watch them enjoy themselves so much. They loved the ocean and even more than that they loved living in the same house with family and having everyone around. There are so many pictures to choose from, here are just a few....

Jake enjoys the view.
Such a happy Jake.
Miles playing ball on the beach.

Miles

Miles giving us a beach concert...that is his guitar and microphone. That was a favorite beach activity for both boys.
Jake dancing in the ocean.
Miles playing in the ocean. He could not get enough and was really brave out in the waves.
Pure bliss.
Happy guys taking an evening beach walk.

Swimming

Since it's been in the triple digits here for weeks already, we've started swimming a lot. The boys are in lessons once a week as well. They are really timid in the water but are already gaining a bit of confidence. We've been going to the neighborhood pool every weekend. Hopefully soon I'll be comfortable taking them on my own and we can hang out there even more. Here they are with their super cute swim coach...
